Yup... as you know that this is such a simple component, yet so important.
These magnetic pin backs have two pieces: a metal bar with adhesive strip and a plastic piece with two strong rare-earth magnets.
Its a JST 2.5mm 'free hanging' cable assembly that latches strongly.
Connect this to that without soldering using these handy mini alligator clip test leads.
When Bunnie showed up at Adafruit with the prototype for his Chibitronics Circuit Stickers we were all like "How on earth does that work?" and he was all like "Z-Axis tape - Its amazing!"
Measuring stretch forces isn't easy - unless you have some conductive rubber cord! This cord is 2mm diameter, and 1 meter long, made of carbon-black impregnated rubber. Usually this material is used for EMF gasketing, but its also very fun to play with.
These are 155mm long jumpers. Multiple jumpers can be installed next to one another on a 0.1" header. Comes as 1 package of one hundred jumpers (colors shown), 50 pieces male-to-male and 50 pieces female-to-female.
Each lead in this pack of tern is 50cm long with a rubber shrouded alligator clip on each end. There are five different colors, you get two each of: red, green, white, black and yellow.
This is a time saving kit of jumper wires - cut, stripped, and pre-bent for your prototyping pleasure. Included with this kit are 14 various lengths of 22AWG wire - 2, 5, 7, 10, 12, 15, 17, 20, 22, 25, 50, 75, 100, and 125mm - 10 pieces of each.
This kit includes 95 pieces of heat shrink, all of varying colors and sizes, and comes in a clear bag. All pieces are 10cm in length.
Your pack of 30 jumper wires will be a random assortment of various colors.
Copper tape has countless applications in electronics from creating low-profile traces for electrical components to RF-shielding and antenna-making. Copper tape is even used to join things together using solder, like the stained glass on Tiffany lamps.
This 0.005" Muscle Wire® (aka shape memory Nitinol) is a one foot long piece of nickel-titanium alloy that can flex and contract when a specific amount of heat or current is applied to it. If you are asking yourself “What sorcery is this?!” We assure you, this isn’t magic, it’s just simple science thanks to shape memory and a change between the wires weaker, low temperature form (martensitic) and its stronger, high temperature form (austenite).
This 0.012" Flexinol® Actuator Wires (aka shape memory Nitinol) is a one foot long piece of nickel-titanium alloy that can flex and contract when a specific amount of heat or current is applied to it and are made specifically for linear actuators to replace small motors or solenoids.
The FTDI cable is a USB to Serial (TTL level) converter which allows for a simple way to connect TTL interface devices to USB. The I/O pins of this FTDI cable are configured to operate at 5V.
This is a SparkFun exclusive! These are 12" long jumper wires terminated as male to female. Use these to jumper from any male or female header on any board. Multiple jumpers can be connected next to one another on a 0.1" header. Comes in one pack of ten jumpers (colors shown).
These alligator clips are useful for smaller wires that you don’t want to deform. The clip has smooth flat metal blades that clamp down on the wire, making for a good connection to thinner wires. There are strain relief crimp points and a solder hole at the end of the clip.
An assortment of colored wires: you know it’s a beautiful thing. Six different colors of solid core wire in a cardboard dispenser box. Sit this on your workbench and stop worrying about having a piece of wire around!
